You will be valued for what you bring, encouraged to discover your interests, shape your own career path, and be excited for your future.

At William Buck, we’re big enough to challenge the Big 4 on the complexity of work, but small enough that you’ll get to work one-on-one with your Partners – they’ll know your name, celebrate your birthday, and take a keen interest in helping you achieve your ambitions and career goals.

What does a Graduate position at William Buck look like?

  • A permanent position within the division you are offered.
  • A comprehensive induction consisting of both structured training sessions and on-the-job training, supported by a dedicated buddy.
  • Exposure across a diverse range of clients and industries
  • Regular social events for example our EOFY Party, Tennis Day and Christmas Party. It’s not all about work!
  • Opportunity for volunteering, and networking opportunities.
  • Taking part in “Grad College” with William Buck Graduates from around Australia and NZ.

The care continues beyond your Graduate year.

  • We do everything possible to ensure you’re supported through the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program both financially and through technical training sessions, mentorship, study resources, peer workgroups, and up to 3 days study leave per module.
  • We have a defined progression framework to ensure year-on-year professional and personal growth.

We’re looking for Graduates with an interest in Research Development Grants & Incentives.

We are currently seeking Graduates to join our R&D team in February 2026.

Our R&D team assists clients with accessing tax offsets and government grants to fund new developments and innovation. Most of our work centers around understanding a client’s R&D activities and communicating this in a scientific way to ensure clients are compliant with tax legislation and receive the best outcome possible. We work closely with William Buck’s other divisions to capitalise on the firm’s comprehensive service offerings and expertise in tax and accounting.

Being part of the R&D team means being at the cutting-edge of innovation in Australia across a breadth of industries such as technology, manufacturing and life sciences. No two clients are the same and we take pride in our work being able to help advance Australian knowledge on a global scale.

What do you need to be successful?

  • A passion for client services and relationship building.
  • A willingness to have a go and give it your best.
