Your Role

Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities:

  • Utilise vendor best practices across cloud + on-premises implementations
  • Managing Hyper-V hosts, maintenance of VM’s, RODC Servers for over 1,700 sites
  • Supporting Cisco and Juniper Network Switches, Wireless Access Points and Wireless LAN Controllers
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduction in manual effort by automating deployments and configuration updates
  • Execution of application and/or platform changes, releases, and service requests in supported environments
  • Root cause analysis and service improvement solutions
  • Liaise with appropriate teams for development of corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve major incidents
  • Adhere to ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures
  • Flexible work arrangements – two days per week from home
  • Have existing Microsoft, AWS and/or Cisco certifications

Your Profile

You will need to be a passionate, motivated and client focused Support Engineer.

  • Previous experience in working for an MSP or large government schools
  • Managing Windows & Linux Servers and Network devices
  • In depth expertise in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, GPO, File, DHCP, DNS, NPS (RADIUS)
  • Experience in managing Microsoft SCOM Alerts, Orchestrator Runbooks, SCCM Distribution Points
  • Support M365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Google Apps
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph (Graph API), Python
  • Experience in managing Cisco Workplace, Cisco WebEx, AWS, VMWare, Linux, Hitachi Storage, and Commvault Backup is desirable
  • Experience managing SCOM and SquaredUp monitoring would be highly regarded
  • A hunger for knowledge with the passion to learn about the latest innovations in the industry, which you will enjoy sharing with the wider team
