Launch Recruitment is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join a leading telecommunications organisation for an initial 12 month contract based in Melbourne. This exciting opportunity will see you lead the coordination and rollout of high-impact telecommunications technologies across a national network.
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to support the successful delivery of new network capabilities. Working closely with engineering, field and deployment teams, you’ll ensure technical solutions (e.g., FTTP, DWDM) are ready to scale—meeting both operational requirements and business goals.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role requiring a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to cut through complexity to drive outcomes.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role requiring a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to cut through complexity to drive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical and deployment readiness for new capability rollouts
- Act as the main liaison between engineering and delivery teams
- Define, manage and track project schedules, milestones and dependencies
- Ensure alignment between technical designs and operational deployment plans
- Drive impact assessments, documentation and stakeholder communication
- Support testing, trials, knowledge sharing and process improvement
- Provide updates to senior stakeholders and escalate risks when needed
- 5+ years’ experience as a project or delivery manager in telecommunications
- Strong understanding of Transit technologies (e.g., FTTP, DWDM) and infrastructure deployment
- Proven track record coordinating cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle
- Ability to manage technical complexity while keeping business outcomes front of mind
- Skilled in project planning tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Miro, Trello)
- Recognised project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
