The opportunity

We have a high-performing urban and regional planning and environmental science team in Victoria, and we’re growing! With a growing portfolio of exciting infrastructure projects across multiple sectors, we’re looking for experienced planners from Consultant through to Principal level to join us.

You’ll help drive the future-ready planning and delivery of major transport infrastructure projects, as well as renewable energy, pumped hydro, landfill and resource recovery, and property projects. You’ll collaborate with engineers and technical specialists on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects, helping to shape Victoria’s infrastructure and communities.

We highly value experience in strategic and land use planning, energy infrastructure and major infrastructure programs.

We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment with the option to share your time between our Melbourne office and remotely up to two days per week.

What you’ll do

Depending on your experience level, you will:

• Provide high-quality planning advice (e.g. development applications, land use planning, due diligence assessments, environmental approvals, and assessments) for large-scale infrastructure and transport projects
• Lead or support the delivery of planning projects, coordinating project teams and contributing to multi-disciplinary outcomes
• Work closely with clients and regulators, providing timely and practical advice
• Help grow the business through proposal preparation and identifying new opportunities
• Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful outcomes for communities

Some of the key projects we’ve recently been involved in:

• Technical due diligence for major renewable energy, industrial and agricultural assets.
• Business Cases – assessing project options to inform strategic investment decisions.
• Environmental approvals for Major and ongoing Transport projects.
• Development licence approvals for major Data Centre and energy projects.
• Environmental Assessments – delivering EIA documentation and coordinating technical specialists on complex infrastructure projects.
• Corridor Assessments – identifying and analysing planning and environmental constraints and opportunities.

About you

You're passionate about creating vibrant spaces where people live, work, and play, and you want to contribute to the next generation of transport infrastructure and energy projects.

With 2 to 10+ years of experience in urban, regional, or infrastructure planning, you thrive in multidisciplinary environments and enjoy collaborating with diverse clients.

Your background might be in consulting, government, property, energy, or Defence.

You’ll also bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in planning, with eligibility for membership with the Planning Institute of Australia
• Strong working knowledge of Victorian planning legislation and policy directions
• Project management or coordination experience
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
• Consulting experience
