About the Role:
As the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all communication channels to and from the field – ensuring Consistent, Accurate and Timely 2-way communication flows. This will involve following a prescribed meeting schedule with internal business units to ensure all information flows to the field are correct and up to date.
You will be responsible for the planning all field activations and will included the forecast of POS requirements to effectively execute the plan, set targets based on Store Grade by Channel and develop a comprehensive Execution Guide to be distributed to the field teams to ensure that all in-store executions are consistent across all Sales Teams and are inline to the Perfect Store Standards.
You will also Co-ordinate and Distribute Field Based Reports to key Stakeholders within the Total Business via the SFA Web Based Reporting tool including the development and distribution of specific reports that meet the needs of all relevant stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
Field Communications
- Manage Key Account/internal contact and communication with the field
- Run Weekly State Operations Conference Calls and co-Ordinate Monthly State Field Meetings with all field managers.
- Hold Weekly Collaboration meeting with all Key Accounts and identify Field drive opportunities and facilitate volume expectations
- Manage all Field Communication Platforms and resources (Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp)
- Provide business updates at key business forums as required (RUMBA, MSO)
Activity Planning and Target Setting
- Forecast POS requirements for upcoming activities (covering both Core and Dress-Up Kits), working collaboratively with the RA team.
- Set all Field activity Targets for all nominated events and activations and “Field” pre-pack targets for the independents channel
- Complete a detailed execution plan for all major activities including timings and execution standards distributed to the field 4 weeks prior to each activity
Relationship Management with External Stakeholders
- Manage Key Relationships with external partners (Packcentre, Storage and Transport) involved in the storage and distribution of all POS – ensuring the availability of all Everyday, and Promotional POS items to the field team
Reporting and Budget Tracking
- Manage and activate all display tracking reports used by the field for all key activations.
- Provide Weekly/Fortnightly Activity updates for the duration of all major activations to the wider business (Rumba, Sales Huddles etc)
Who we are looking for:
- 1-3 years' experience within field communications, sales operations, or retail coordination roles
- Confident communicator with the ability to be adaptable and think strategically
- Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders
- Anticipates issues, takes initiative and drives continuous improvement
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Strong system and technical capability- Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams
- Tertiary qualification preferable within business-related field
