Duties And Responsibilities

  • Leading the design, development, deployment, and support of the Agency’s Cloud & Data Infrastructure.
  • Prioritizing and managing the work queue to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
  • Ensuring that all solutions adhere to integration best practices.
  • Playing a key leadership role in project teams, utilising an agile development framework.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to define project requirements, set priorities, and deliver results.

Skills

  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services, with proven ability to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions.
  • Strong experience in building and deploying DevOps practices, tools, and continuous delivery pipelines, including GitLab, Artifactory, and Jira, to streamline development workflows.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like Git, combined with a solid understanding of agile development methodologies to support collaborative, iterative development.
  • Ability to write and maintain moderately complex code across multiple programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, and Golang.
  • In-depth experience with containerization, cluster deployment, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient application delivery and management.
  • Experience with database deployment and administration, particularly with Postgres and MySQL, for efficient data management and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in administering Azure infrastructure, expanding multi-cloud capabilities alongside AWS.
  • Strong understanding of networking, including designing, managing, and troubleshooting network configurations in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for securing sensitive data and managing secrets across cloud infrastructure.
