A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Experience Project Manager to join a high-profile government initiative dedicated to transforming the way users interact with vital national records and services.
This role is pivotal in delivering a modern, intuitive, and efficient digital environment that will benefit both internal teams and the wider public. You will be at the forefront of a strategic project, collaborating with a knowledgeable and supportive team, and empowered to shape the future of digital access and service delivery. With flexible working arrangements, including up to two days per week from home, this position offers an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on a project of national significance. If you are passionate about uplifting digital experiences and thrive in environments where your expertise in agile project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership are valued, this is the perfect next step for your career.
As the Digital Experience Project Manager, you will play an instrumental role in shaping how users engage with critical digital platforms. Your day-to-day activities will involve orchestrating complex project plans that bring together diverse teams across business analysis, change management, design, and technical domains. You will champion agile methodologies to drive iterative improvements while ensuring robust governance over scope, budget, timelines, and quality. By nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders at every level—including executive leaders—you will facilitate open communication channels that support informed decision-making. Your expertise in translating vision into practical action will be essential as you guide the team through requirements gathering sessions and oversee vendor partnerships. Throughout each phase of delivery, you will maintain a focus on compliance with best practices in project management while promoting inclusive values that underpin the organisation’s mission. Success in this role means delivering measurable benefits through enhanced digital experiences for both staff and the broader community.
To excel as Digital Experience Project Manager, you will bring substantial experience overseeing large-scale technology initiatives where collaboration across multiple disciplines is essential. Your background should include successfully guiding projects from conception through completion using structured methodologies—particularly agile approaches—to achieve defined objectives within set constraints. You are adept at engaging stakeholders from varied backgrounds by fostering trust-based relationships built on clear communication and empathy. Your analytical mindset allows you to anticipate challenges early while your problem-solving abilities ensure issues are addressed proactively. A deep appreciation for inclusive practices enables you to create environments where every voice is heard during requirements gathering or solution design sessions. Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps supports your ability to monitor progress efficiently even when coordinating remote contributors. Ideally, you have also worked within sectors where regulatory compliance is paramount—such as government or cultural institutions—and can demonstrate sensitivity towards accessibility standards that ensure equitable access for all users.
