The opportunity

As our Office Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our daily operations, ensuring that every aspect of the office environment is optimised for productivity and comfort. This is a varied position where no two days are alike. You have the opportunity to provide support for a vibrant team

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming Presence: Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and clients, creating a warm and professional atmosphere from the moment they step through our doors.
  • Facility Coordination: Oversee general building maintenance and repairs, liaising with staff and contractors to ensure our facilities are always in top condition.
  • Inventory & Asset Management: Conduct regular stocktakes and manage the ordering of office supplies, ensuring that our team is always equipped with the tools they need including hardware and software licenses.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate internal events, including organizing catering, room bookings, and guest lists, to foster team engagement and celebrate our successes.
  • Basic IT Support: Provide basic IT support to new starters and staff, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues to maintain smooth operations.
  • Onboarding Assistance: Assist with the setup and deployment of new devices, ensuring that all equipment is ready for use and tailored to individual needs. Provide office tours and arrange for building access for our new starters.
  • Safety & Compliance Coordination: Collaborate with external WHS and fire safety providers to implement and maintain comprehensive safety measures, ensuring a secure and compliant office environment.
  • Project Assistance: Support various projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

About You

  • Previous experience in an Office Manager/Coordinator role
  • Project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience with general office administration, planning and coordination of events and customer service
  • Systems savvy - ability to learn and use different systems and software
  • Possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and come up with solutions to problems
  • Excellent communication skills, in particular written communication
  • Any experience with IT or Technical support will be highly regarded
