About The Role

A key role reporting to the Lead - Risk & Integrity is responsible for optimising asset engineering value delivery. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring Process Safety and Asset Integrity, supporting the delivery of the business unit’s long-term strategy to optimise base production and proactively manage life cycle integrity and cost of supply.

• Champion HSE Leadership and ensure strict compliance with AS 2885 standards and all regulatory requirements.
• Manage the Pipeline Management System, Safety Management Studies, and Pipeline Integrity Management Plans to guarantee safe, compliant, and reliable operations.
• Apply AS 2885 principles to pipeline design, operations, modifications, and risk management throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Utilise the Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) for accurate data assessment and reporting, including in-line inspection data.
• Support activities to maintain compliance with the APGA PE Code of Practice for gathering pipelines.
• Develop and optimize maintenance strategies, conduct assurance activities, defect assessments, and perform fitness-for-service evaluations.
• Lead and support incident investigations and collaborate on emergency response activities for pipeline integrity.
• Provide technical input and liaison for procurement, external consultants, and equipment vendors. Support preservation and maintenance of critical and emergency repair spares.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

More About You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8-15 years of engineering experience.
• RPEQ certification is essential.
• Strong technical leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Sound knowledge of AS2885 Pipelines suite of standards and relevant industry codes.
• Extensive experience in steel pipeline engineering, particularly in operations, maintenance, and integrity management.
• Detailed understanding of pipeline damage mechanisms and defect assessment methodologies.
• Awareness of the Upstream Polyethylene Gathering Networks Code of Practice.
• Experience in the CSG or upstream oil & gas industry is desirable.
