The reason for this role:

Reporting into the Business Development Director of Sales and Marketing, the Sales Manager is accountable for securing wind turbine sales for Goldwind across Australia and New Zealand.

This role will be based in our Melbourne office and will be primarily responsible for achieving the agreed turbine sales targets.

What you will be doing?

  • Develop effective relationships with wind turbine customers across Australia and New Zealand, identifying sales opportunities and preparing / presenting to customers information on Goldwind’s products.
  • Managing the bids in response to requests for expressions of interest (EOI) and/or requests for proposals (RFP).
  • Negotiating wind turbine supply contracts (EPC, TSA or other) as well as warranty operation and maintenance (WOM) agreements and conduct sales activities within department budgets, providing sales reporting as required.
  • Provide regular reports on performance, specifically on sales activities and assist the GM and BD Director in Sales and Marketing with strategic initiatives to achieve Goldwind’s objectives from time to time.
  • Actively promote Goldwind through participation in key industry forums and participate in key industry associations when required.

What does your background look like?

  • Qualification in Engineering or Business / Commercial discipline would be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in a Sales Management role within the Wind energy industry would also be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in Australian wind power development and / or wind turbinesales in Australia.
  • Previous experience analysing the financial viability of wind projects and the implications of wind turbine price and other factors would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate contracts.
