Senior Project Engineer - Water SEQ

The opportunity

We are excited to be seeking a Senior Project Engineer for our expanding delivery team, to oversee a portfolio of Mechanical, Civil and Electrical projects, varied in scope and size. Our Senior Project Engineers build authentic relationships with stakeholders and provide technical guidance on project delivery. They are integral to the design, procurement, contract administration and claims processes, driving best possible outcomes whilst mentoring future talent across the program. This is a full-time permanent role based in Brisbane working out of our Mango Hill site office on Monday to Friday roster. You will be required to attend site visits across Morton Bay and Sunshine Coast region when in delivery phase.

What you'll do

• Provide expert technical advice to the Project Delivery and wider program teams
• Provide input to reporting on project performance and progress, including development of solutions to issues that compromise attainment of agreed performance targets
• Assist in the identification of potential hazardous site activities and ensure appropriate procedures and controls are implemented
• Assist with the design process to ensure the timeliness of the completion of drawings approved for construction
• Ensure design is checked against capital budgets during design development, and documentation
• Undertake on-going 'fit for purpose' and value engineering reviews to determine constructability of design

What we're looking for

• 4-5 years' project engineering experience within the water & or wastewater industry in SEQ.
• Degree qualification in civil or mechanical engineering
• Experience managing subcontractors and developing scope of works
• Experience in developing subcontract agreements
• Demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting, including budgeting
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage schedules
• Experience in driving quality outcomes in project delivery
