About The Role
A key role reporting to the Subsurface and Planning Data & Applications Lead is responsible for managing the key data and functionality within planning systems within Integrated Gas, ensuring continuity of core business processes throughout the corporate calendar. This includes prioritising and maintaining application, database and configuration updates (system) in parallel with financial, economic and data transform requirements within Data Flow, Economics and Portfolio (application) as defined by SMEs.
This role is also responsible for the ongoing continuous improvement, user support, training and documentation of several key planning-related workflows and ancillary systems. Including a visualisation platform in supporting the business to deliver across planning, development, economics and reserves.
More About The Role
- Provide Level 3 system and process support, including user training for Planning Space and related platforms.
- Manage user access, security reviews, and audits for Planning Space and visualisation tools.
- Ensure data integrity and manage integrations within Planning Space, staging databases, and ancillary tools.
- Support and troubleshoot issues related to outgoing integrations from Planning Space.
- Take responsibility for user communications, version upgrades, and stakeholder coordination.
- Maintain and advise on system configuration within the Planning Space economics module.
- Accountable for end-to-end system configuration across planning, development, economics, and reserves.
- Collaborate with IT support and vendors on risk identification, issue resolution, and platform improvements.
You will role model Origin’s values, be s elf-driven, with ability to be proactive and take initiative. A team player with ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people across levels, building positive, productive working relationships.
More About You
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry (planning, subsurface, IT, or economics functions).
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or Economics is mandatory.
- Indirect leadership experience, providing guidance or delegating tasks to junior employees.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong IT experience in system configuration and database development.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), User Experience (UX) design, Excel, and Visual Basic Application (VBA).
- Proven ability to rapidly understand new business domains and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying risks, issues, and opportunities.
