Our client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. About The Team
The Operations and Housing Support Branch support the planning network through the delivery of core initiatives and projects to enhance capacity and capability to engage meaningfully with participants. The branch enables front line service staff to achieve targets, provides strategic advice on process delivery and undertake continuous improvement activities.
About The Role
Reporting to the APS6 Planner Supervisor, this role will see you take on the below duties and responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to all the Home and Living branch.
- Supporting Agency teams with Home and Living enquiries.
- Resolving issues and complaints in relation to participant Home and Living applications.
- Leading and contributing to the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Managing, collating, interpreting and analysing data to produce reports and dashboards that inform strategic and operational planning.
- Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets.
- Monitoring and actioning correspondence, assigning and actioning internal work items.

We strongly encourage your application if you have demonstrated the below skills and capabilities:
- Proven experience in a similar Operations Officer, Project Administration, Executive Assistant, or Branch Administration role. Preference with industry exposure to allied health, disability and / or Federal Government.
- Ability to provide high level administrative support in fast-paced and demanding environments, ensuring key project deliverables are being met.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to liaise with key stakeholders on moderately complex to complex issues.
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of related principles, techniques, and practices.
- Well-developed understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory, and policy frameworks applied to a variety of interrelated activities and solutions to a range of problems.
- Strong understanding and employment experience within APS / Political environments.
- Passionate about working within the disability sector and positively improving the lives of individuals and their families.
- As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, only Australian Citizens need to apply.
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment checks, including National Criminal History Check upon successful appointment.
