Cluster Revenue Manager
TFE Hotels

It’s an exciting time to be at TFE Hotels! We’re growing fast, we’ve got new hotels and geographies on the Horizon; and whilst we are expanding, we’re still young at heart. We value people with authentic charisma, people who attract people, and have the passion to make a real difference!
We are currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our Revenue team as a Cluster Revenue Manager, based in Canberra. As a key member of this Regional Revenue Team, you will be responsible for yielding management techniques to maximize occupancy, conduct forecasts, and maintaining accurate data and weekly reports.
The role:
As the Cluster Revenue Manager you are responsible for overseeing and optimising the revenue generation of the properties within the cluster. This role involves analysing data, strategizing, and implementing pricing and revenue management tactics to maximise the financial performance of each property while aligning with the overall business goals.
Reporting to the Regional Revenue Manager, the Cluster Revenue Manager collaborates closely with various departments, such as sales, marketing, reservations, and operations, to ensure a cohesive revenue strategy across the cluster. By monitoring market trends, competitive landscape, and demand patterns, they make informed decisions to drive room revenue, occupancy, and average daily rate (ADR), ultimately contributing to the overall success and profitability of the properties within their cluster.
Key responsibilities:
- Apply effective yield management techniques to maximise occupancy, average rate and nett room revenue.
- Coordinate yield meetings as designated. Report on forecast, yieldable periods, stay restrictions, business patterns and competitor information.
- Conduct pickup reporting on a weekly basis to be presented and discussed in yield meetings.
- Maintain accurate room rate control and availability status across all channels.
- Review daily, availability and rates, and make changes where necessary within the PMS, Channel Manager and other channels to achieve maximum nett rooms revenue.
- Review and update daily rate recommendations from the Revenue Management System
- Provide rates for any group quotes received for the hotels in the cluster, ensuring that business is effectively quoted for all properties to maximize the potential for conversion
- Monitor group holdings to ensure room blocks are accurate and release periods are correctly tracked to prevent unexpected wash of rooms.
- Drive initiatives in setting package rates and marketing strategies in conjunction with the GM/HM, Revenue & Distribution and Sales & Marketing teams.
- Identify gaps in holdings for lower demand periods and put strategies in place to avoid a decline in RevPAR
About you:
- An experienced reservations “guru” with 3+ years’ experience in a Revenue Management position with diverse revenue streams
- An understanding of hotel systems and revenue management methods to optimize performance and maximize opportunities
- The ability to develop and implement revenue strategies that align with overall business goals and market conditions.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Accurately predict future demands to optimize pricing and inventory decisions.
- Cultivating strong relationships with internal teams and external partners (OTAs, corporate clients).
- Strong and effective communication (written and verbal)
- Expertise in using and optimizing revenue management systems (RMS) to manage inventory, pricing, and reporting.
- Competent in the use of a Property Management System (PMS) such as Protel/Opera or similar
- Permanent Full-time work rights for Australia (essential)
