As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you’ll play a key role in developing the clinical capability of our care teams—helping to ensure high-quality, person-centred care across our aged care services.

About the Opportunity:

This role focuses on coaching, upskilling and clinical development of staff using the 70/20/10 learning methodology (on-the-floor learning, mentoring, and formal training). You’ll work closely with Clinical Nurse Consultants, Learning & Development, and Governance teams to assess service needs and deliver targeted learning support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and support staff in meeting legislative and clinical practice requirements
  • Identify and respond to learning needs within aged care services
  • Deliver coaching and clinical guidance to improve day-to-day care practices
  • Partner with internal experts and external providers to implement best-practice learning programs
  • Maintain accurate clinical competency records and contribute to service quality

You’ll bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • A strong clinical background and recent hands-on experience
  • A passion for mentoring, coaching, and sharing knowledge
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based assessment
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams
  • Strong organisational and digital skills, including using clinical information systems

Even better if you have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in nursing or education
  • Experience coaching clinical leaders or implementing quality improvement projects
  • A background in complex or multidisciplinary health care settings
