About the Role:
As the Account Manager at Dragonfly Shipping, you play a vital role in fostering company growth through personalised client solutions based on mutual benefit and trust. Your primary duties include managing client relationships, ensuring seamless service delivery in collaboration with the Operations team, and identifying strategies that deliver long-term value. You will utilise your strong understanding of delivery solutions to build strategic partnerships, drive revenue, and enhance customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will handle contract management, negotiate service agreements, and stay updated on industry trends to inform our service offerings. Your emphasis on retention and sales aims to expand account value while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion exceptional customer experiences for account management and new business development.
- Collaborate with the Key Accounts Manager and Senior Business Development Manager to ensure a seamless transition through the onboarding process.
- Liaise closely with the internal Delivery Contractor team to communicate and collaborate on service and delivery standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and partners to identify and capitalise on revenue growth opportunities.
- Develop integrated solutions that seamlessly combine business processes with technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Guide and support the Internal Sales Support Specialist in meeting service and department objectives.
- Utilise reporting tools to track account success and provide performance updates to customers.
- Regularly update senior leadership on the progress of sales initiatives.
- Effectively communicate new products and rates for seamless transitions.
- Oversee expansion initiatives and stay ahead of industry trends for long-term growth.
- Uphold Dragonfly Shipping’s core values in leadership and decision-making.
- Manage client relationships to ensure outstanding service and maintain a strong reputation.
- Shape service offerings based on industry developments and customer feedback to achieve a competitive advantage.
- Ensure operational excellence by coordinating with teams to meet service-level agreements and targets.
- Identify upselling opportunities to drive revenue growth within existing accounts.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technologies to support strategic decisions.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years sales experience in a customer-facing/ Account management role.
- Logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
- Intricate knowledge of Australian retail & e-commerce landscapes and the opportunities these present.
- Excellent negotiating, problem-solving and closing skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal, throughout the course of your duties.
