About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Billings & System - Patient Accounts Clerk to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. This position is based at our Head Office in Clayfield, which is close to public transport and has free street parking. We are a collaborative team of 8, we support with onsite training and work across a roster Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Run weekly reports detailing outstanding accounts
• Target outstanding accounts to be balanced no longer than 90 days from the date of service
• Conduct audits, liaise with debtors (Work Cover, hospitals, DVA, sporting teams, health funds and private patients), correct payments and item numbers, and create payment plans as appropriate
• Prepare reports to be included in Board reporting outlining outstanding debtors, refunds and write off
  
  

About You

Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience in medical administration, patient accounts, or similar, excellent customer service skills, and be a whizz when it comes to organisation and time management. You will also have:

• Sound computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel skills
• High-level administrative and word processing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to ensure privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of patients
• Radiology Billing knowledge is highly desirable
• Previous experience working in the healthcare industry
