About the role
Are you passionate about digital media and eager to make a real impact on Australia's leading women's platform? We're looking for an Editorial Assistant to join our dynamic Sydney team, supporting our editorial and social operations while learning and growing in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute ideas that engage and grow the Mamamia audience while helping us deliver content that makes a difference in women's lives. You'll be at the heart of our content engine, gaining valuable hands-on experience across multiple digital platforms.
Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:
- Load and tag content in our CMS, ensuring posts are properly formatted and optimised
- Select and source appropriate images, videos and podcast embeds for articles
- Create engaging social assets for Facebook and Instagram that drive audience growth
- Schedule and post content across our social media platforms
- Write stories when assigned and pitch fresh, on-brand ideas daily
- Moderate comments and engage with our passionate community
- Prepare EDMs and monitor databases to drive traffic
- Support the editorial, social, video, podcast and audience development teams
Now, a bit about you
- You have tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Media, Communications or a relevant field
- Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent
- You possess a solid understanding of social media platforms and digital content trends
- You're a creative and collaborative thinker who brings fresh ideas to the table
- You're self-motivated and thrive as an enthusiastic team player
- You can problem-solve effectively and manage multiple deadlines with ease
- Your organisational skills and attention to detail are exceptional
