Location: Central Adelaide CBD

Roster: Monday - Friday

Shifts: Early, Late, and Night Duty available

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time or Permanent Part-Time

About the Role

As a valued member of our Orthopaedic Surgical Ward, you will deliver high-quality post-operative care to patients undergoing a wide range of orthopaedic procedures. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and recovery.

While previous orthopaedic surgical experience is highly regarded, we also welcome applications from nurses with backgrounds in general surgical specialties who are eager to learn and grow in the orthopaedic field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred nursing care in a post-operative surgical environment
  • Monitor and assess patient progress, escalating concerns appropriately
  • Collaborate with surgeons, allied health professionals, and colleagues
  • Administer medications and manage surgical wound care
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical observations
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment (Clinical Nurse role)
  • Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement

    What We're Looking For
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in an acute surgical setting (orthopaedic experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong clinical assessment, time management, and communication skills
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster of early, late, and night shifts
  • Leadership capabilities and advanced clinical knowledge (Clinical Nurse applicants)
