What You Will Do

As Finance Manager you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the finance function within a dynamic group environment. Your day-to-day activities will see you collaborating closely with senior managers across multiple departments to provide insightful analysis that drives informed decision-making. You will:

  • Prepare annual and long-term budgets for approval, analyse expenditure patterns, and deliver monthly reports with clear explanations of variances to inform key stakeholders.
  • Provide timely information and expert advice on financial management issues, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to achieve budget outcomes and support organisational goals.
  • Lead the development of budgeting processes and contribute to the financial aspects of strategic planning, aligning resources with business objectives.
  • Determine and implement strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure efficient financial management and compliance with relevant legislation, standards, codes, and practices.
  • Actively participate in planning, policy formation, strategic projects, and decision-making processes by regularly reviewing information and recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Investigate alternative financing strategies for major project initiatives, including non-traditional approaches that support business growth.
  • Develop robust financial performance measures and monitoring systems that align with the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Operations teams to execute business strategy through effective financial stewardship.
  • Manage group funding arrangements including relationships with financiers as well as treasury functions such as cash flow management, foreign exchange exposure, and interest rate risk.

What You Will Bring

To excel as Finance Manager you will bring extensive experience from senior finance roles where you have successfully led teams through periods of change while maintaining robust controls over all aspects of accounting operations.. Above all else: your commitment to ethical conduct combined with genuine enthusiasm for coaching others ensures you can build trust-based partnerships that drive collective success.

  • A degree in Accounting or Commerce (or related discipline) complemented by CA or CPA qualifications which are essential for this role.
  • Experience in senior finance positions where you have demonstrated your ability to guide teams through complexity.
  • Proven track record in driving efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement within finance functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail; adept at problem-solving while maintaining focus on broader business objectives.
  • A collaborative approach to team leadership whilst developing others while aligning them with business goals.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards in line with company values by demonstrating honesty, respectfulness towards colleagues/customers/partners alike.
