The Role
Our client is looking for a motivated Commercial Lawyer to assist across a broad range of commercial matters. You will advise clients on commercial transactions and draft key legal documents, including business sale agreements, commercial leases, shareholder agreements, and other contracts. The role may also include involvement in commercial disputes such as building and leasing disputes or debt recovery. You will work directly with our Directors and senior lawyers and will have the opportunity to take the lead on matters and manage client relationships from day one as well as someone who is looking to develop their career.

- Provide clear and commercially sound legal advice across a wide range of commercial matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, leases, and agreements.
- Manage and progress client files with autonomy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Directors on significant matters and client strategies.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships.
You will be a driven and commercially minded lawyer who is confident in managing matters and building strong client rapport. To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:
- 1-2 years PQE in commercial law.
- A Bachelor of Laws and a current ACT practising certificate.
- Litigation experience.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- A genuine interest in professional growth and client success.
