Position Overview
As the Head of People & Culture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and driving organisational success through our people.
You will lead the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that promote employee engagement and organisational effectiveness. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, commercial HR professional to make a significant impact and contribute to the growth and success of our thriving business.
Key Responsibilities Include
Strategic HR Leadership
- Developing and executing HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Partnering with the senior leadership team to anticipate and address workforce needs and challenges.
- Providing insights and recommendations on talent acquisition, retention, and support office development to support business growth.
- Driving support office learning initiatives
- Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually enhance HR initiatives.
- Owner of the relationship and liaison with our offshored talent agency.
- Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
- Supporting the L&D team and driving the execution of support office development programs to cultivate skills and competencies aligned with organisational goals.
- Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on career development, performance feedback, and succession planning.
- Fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organisation.
- Championing a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Designing and implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
- Leading employee communication which ensures transparency and alignment across the organisation.
- Monitoring employee sentiment and organisational health metrics, through formal Employee Engagement Surveys and other proactive measures.
- Overseeing HR operations, including HRIS/employee records management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Developing and enforcing HR policies and procedures to maintain a fair and consistent workplace environment.
- Overseeing and managing employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution processes in a timely and effective manner, both for support office and oversight for the network.
- Staying up-to-date on employment laws and regulations to ensure legal compliance in all HR practices.
- Building and leading a high-performing HR team, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Fostering collaboration and teamwork across HR functions and with other departments to achieve common goals.
- Serving as a role model and advocate for the company's values and culture, inspiring others to do the same.
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles, with at least 3 years in a strategic and senior leadership capacity
- Proven experience managing a broad HR function and team.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment required.
- Franchising industry experience highly regarded
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and commercially, solve complex problems, and drive results.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining positive workplace cultures.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
