Due to continued growth, we are searching for a Principal /Lead Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.
The Role:
You will lead the design and analysis for ground structures. Your responsibilities will include delivering detailed geotechnical design, undertaking detailed analysis, modelling and reporting, providing key technical expertise, and ensuring that all evaluations and designs meet the relevant Australian Standards. In this role, you will also mentor our engineers and play a key role in building relationships by working closely with clients to expand our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake engineering judgement, interpretation and analysis of data to develop and implement best practice to provide practical and commercial solutions.
- Ability to derive engineering methodologies and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
- Undertake geotechnical analyses and design for deep foundations & shoring/earth retaining structures.
- Provide technical expertise in geotechnical design principles and ability to derive complex solutions.
- Provide technical reviews and advice for interpretation, analysis and design work undertaken by our geotechnical engineers.
- Oversee delivery of work to clients while ensuring compliance and adherence to timeframes.
- Mentor our engineers and guide their technical development.
- Engage in business development, contributing to client proposals and expanding service offerings.
- 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on geotechnical design and analysis.
- A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia. CPEng/NER accreditation is highly regarded.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards and other local specifications.
- High Proficiency in engineering software (such as Plaxis and others).
- Strong communication skills, with experience in client engagement and team leadership.
- Proven experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
