SUMMARY: Leads and directs EVS in accordance with overall housekeeping duties and responsibilities at the casino and other associated properties

- Leads and directs EVS in the daily performance of job requirements.
- Communicates with Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure daily shift responsibilities are accomplished.
- Provides professional, courteous service and be cordial to all Team Members and Guests.
- Sweeps, mops, polishes and strips floors.
- Cleans restrooms and fills dispensers.
- Vacuums, spots cleans, and/or shampoo rugs, carpets, and furniture using commercial type vacuum cleaners and shampooing equipment.
- Reports malfunction of bathroom fixtures, and/or damges to room and hall furnishing to Supervisor.
- Initiates work orders for repair/maintenance.
- Stocks areas with appropriate supplies.
- Locks and unlocks doors as directed.
- Moves furniture, equipment or fixtures as required.
- Washes dishes or utinsils as required.
- May replace light bulbs.
- Identifies and corrects unsafe practices and conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Prefer one (1) year of custodial experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards.
- Must be able to read English in order to ensure that all chemical handling is conducted in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Must possess skill in using cleaning products and equipment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- May be required to possess and maintain a California Drivers License and a Black Oak Casino driver permit.
- Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
- Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
- Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
- Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, fumes, steam, or chemicals or Blood Borne Pathogens.
- Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, etc.
- Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
- Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
