About the Role
Are you a Payroll Specialist looking for an opportunity to work either full time or part time (job share) and advance your career in a Not-for-profit industry?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team, we are open to options and would consider permanent full time, part time (job share) for our role based in Redfern.
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will accurately process payroll, including timesheets, leave, terminations, superannuation, and other calculations, while managing payroll queries via email.
How you will make an impact:
- Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 11000 employees within a team / 1000 employees individually
- Process payruns weekly (based on fortnightly pay period)
- Process payroll autonomously with the iChris payroll software
- Calculation and payment of termination payments
- Respond to worker queries as required to ensure that matters or issues are resolved in a timely and accurate manner
- Undertake required processes in iChris and Salvos Workday to ensure accurate and effective data management
What you will bring
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical and minimum of 2-4 years payroll experience. It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in payroll.
- Demonstrate 2+ years experience in a similar payroll processing role
- Exposure to high volume, fast paced environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation and award interpretation
- A strong analytical background and proficient Excel skills
- Demonstrable experience in superior customer service
- Exposure to multiple EAs and award
