Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in a 3-day per week part-time, contract role (9 months). The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Communicate with clients and vendors regarding financial matters
  • Manage and process payroll fortnightly and tax filings

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as BCC and Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and tax filings
