Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on award interpretation and employment relations issues, ensuring compliance with the relevant industrial instruments.
- Support the People & Culture Manager with situations involving conflict resolution and mediation processes, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and practices across the organisation.
- Support and coordinate recruitment and talent acquisition processes
- Assist in developing staff engagement and retention strategies.
- Organise training and professional development opportunities.
- Promote workplace health and safety, conducting risk assessments and WHS inductions.
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field OR demonstrated experience in HR, recruitment, or employee engagement
- Experience in a wide range of Human Resources functions (ER/IR, performance management, WHS) with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary human resources practice.
- A thorough understanding of industrial relations, awards, and relevant employment legislation (ideally) affecting the childcare sector.
- Passionate about people, culture, and creating a supportive work environment
- Strong understanding of HR processes, recruitment, and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Ability to prioritise tasks, problem-solve, and work collaboratively
- Experience in early childhood education (highly regarded but not essential)
