- Full end to end processing of the payroll for all entities in accordance with legislation, employment terms and conditions, internal and external audit controls and local policies and procedures.
- Calculate and process termination payments.
- Manage Workday integration actions and associated controls.
- Review system information and adjust or correct when required.
- Act as the SME for ADP Payforce, RealTime, myADP, and DoneSafe software solutions.
- Maintain and update the intranet site ABBY on behalf of CFS, HR, and Shared Service functions.
- Manage the Payroll inbox and respond accordingly.
- Responds to complex payroll enquiries in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Support and train managers and employees on leave and timekeeping processes.
- Provide information and assistance to employees on a range of benefits including superannuation, insurance, stock purchase plans, novated leasing.
- Assist and support expatriate population to acclimatise to ANZ laws and practices.
- Assist overseas managers to handle local payroll approval responsibilities.
- End of month activities including general ledger, leave provisions, superannuation remittances, payroll tax and workers compensation requirements.
- Reconciliation of payroll related accounts.
- Collaboration with HUB in relation to third party vendor transactional processes, payments, and enquiries.
- Produce system generated reports in accordance with EOM/EOY checklists or ad-hoc basis when required.
- Identify and report on trends and statistics relating to data transactions.
- Provide monthly dashboard of key statistics for management distribution.
- Financial planning support to Division Controllers.
- Use project management skills to identify, recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage M&A activity as and when required.
- Assist with invoice processing relating to payroll function.
- Chair the monthly HR/Payroll Process meeting.
- Act as an Employee Representative on the Abbott Superannuation Fund Policy Committee.
- You may be required to work outside of your ordinary hours of work to meet deadlines, participate in essential training, team meetings, customer events or conferences. These events may take place on an evening and/or weekend.
- Attend regular departmental meetings with relevant manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
- Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.
- Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
- Ensure any PPE provided by the Abbott is worn.
- Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours through Donesafe and notify your manager.
- Ensure all activities carried out by self and others are in accordance with legislative employment policies, health & safety requirements and global policy.

- Ensure the timely completion of the timesheet via the ADP system. At minimum, this must be completed monthly and approved by your Manager prior to the 8th of the following month.
Qualifications
- 8 years’ experience in a payroll/human resources environment.
- Payroll or Finance qualification or equivalent.
- Microsoft Excel - Intermediate to Advanced skill level
- Training and experience with ADP Payforce
- Ability to manage a high workload and remain calm and effective under pressure is essential.
- Must be highly organised with attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and discretion to build and maintain trust.
- Advanced Microsoft office skills and the ability to apply new technology and programs for efficiency.
