Due to continued growth, we are searching for a Project Engineer to join our team.
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to act as a key interface between our internal design teams and external stakeholders. This role requires someone with strong organisational skills, a deep understanding of basic design principles, and experience coordinating across interdisciplinary teams such as geotechnical, drafting, and structural design.

This role requires someone with strong organisational skills, a deep understanding of basic design principles, and experience coordinating across interdisciplinary teams such as geotechnical, drafting, and structural design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise between internal teams (design, geotechnical, structural) and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables and ensure that client requirements are translated into designs.
- Coordinate project schedules and track progress, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines as well as attending project meetings and providing updates on project milestones.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of infrastructure assets, including bridges and wastewater facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare detailed inspection/condition assessment reports, analysis, and recommendations based on findings.
- Oversee control of all project documents, including sharing emails, progress reports and technical documentation.
- Monitor project budgets and invoicing, reporting on financial performance to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Assist with project compliance and quality assurance across various disciplines.
To be considered for the role, you must have
- 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or Co-ordinator within a design office or consultancy environment within Australia, preferably involving infrastructure assets and/or multidisciplinary projects. More experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
- A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Strong knowledge of basic design principles, especially in structural and/or geotechnical projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate effective communication among project teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Strong organisational and switchtasking abilities, ensuring that all project documentation is up-to-date and deadlines are met.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
- Strong technical reporting skills as well as knowledge of Engineering and Drafting software
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and project management software.
