This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 6 months with the possibility of extension(s).

The Health Projects Assurance and Advisory (HPAA) is a recently established unit providing independent advice and assurance on major health projects across WA. We work closely with various Directorates, Health Service Providers, infrastructure teams, and government to support the Department of Health's oversight of Major Health Projects.

Position Profile: The Program Officer provides project management, coordination services and undertakes research and analysis to inform the development of projects, policies and programs, in line with the Health Projects Assurance and Advisory Framework. The Program Officer assists in the evaluation of programs and projects, as well as the development of other documents including regular reports relating to the portfolio, working and discussion papers, project plans, Ministerials and general correspondence.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
