At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On
In this role, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of Canva’s most important internal events. From large-scale company moments to thoughtful culture-building activations, you’ll take ownership of the entire process, ensuring every event is meaningful, scalable, and aligned with our values.
We’re searching for an experienced and confident events leader who can seamlessly balance strategic thinking with flawless execution. You bring strong operational expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a deep understanding of how to build events that connect people to culture, purpose, and each other.

In this role, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of Canva’s most important internal events. From large-scale company moments to thoughtful culture-building activations, you’ll take ownership of the entire process, ensuring every event is meaningful, scalable, and aligned with our values.
- Lead, coach, and develop a global events team, ensuring clear priorities, strong collaboration, and a culture of growth and accountability.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of global internal events, ensuring strong alignment to Canva’s culture, values, and business goals.
- Develop and manage the annual cadence and strategic plan for company-wide events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define event goals, timelines, budgets, and success metrics.
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of events management systems, templates, and processes.
- Partner with Vibe teams across regions to deliver consistent experiences that reflect local needs.
- Build tools, templates, and playbooks that enable self-service for internal teams.
- Coach and develop a team of Events & Activations Specialists, managing capacity and resourcing.
- Provide guidance and oversight on vendor management, budget ownership, and operational best practices.
We’re searching for an experienced and confident events leader who can seamlessly balance strategic thinking with flawless execution. You bring strong operational expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a deep understanding of how to build events that connect people to culture, purpose, and each other.
- You have 8+ years of experience delivering large-scale, complex events across regions or time zones (100–3000+ attendees).
- You possess a proven ability to lead strategy and execution across multiple events simultaneously.
- You bring deep knowledge of end-to-end event operations, including logistics, communications, production, and hybrid/virtual delivery.
- You have experience managing budgets, vendors, and internal stakeholder relationships effectively.
- You’re skilled at leading high-performing teams and mentoring event specialists to succeed.
- You’re creative and culture-minded, with a strong point of view on how to bring values to life through experiences.
- You have a data-driven mindset, with the ability to track and analyze impact, engagement, and ROI.
- You’ve implemented and optimized events management platforms to streamline operations.
- You’re an excellent communicator with strong executive presence and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with ease.
