We’re looking for a driven and hands-on Team Leader - Laboratory to guide our Gladstone lab team and ensure the highest standards in testing, safety, and quality. If you're passionate about continuous improvement, leading people, and making a real difference in operational excellence, this is your opportunity to shape outcomes in one of Australia’s leading industrial businesses
Your Opportunity
- Lead and mentor a small team of lab technicians.
- Ensure accurate testing and reporting of mortar and material results.
- Maintain compliance with NATA, ISO 9001, and internal systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment and keep lab instruments (including XRF) audit ready.
- Recommend improvements in equipment, systems, and processes.
- Foster a culture of safety, performance, and accountability.
- We’re looking for a hands-on leader with strong lab experience and a passion for quality.
- 2–5 years in an industrial lab, ideally NATA-accredited.
- Experience leading or mentoring others.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A Diploma or Degree in Chemistry (or equivalent).
- Experience in cement or heavy industry.
- Additional qualifications in lab or quality systems.
- Radiation Safety Certification (Level 1 or equivalent).
