We have an opportunity for a Support Services Manager to lead the support services teams at Bethanie Como. Bethanie Como is a 99 bed suite home that provides the full range of aged care services including dementia support, palliative care and respite services. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
About the role:
Reporting to the Facility Manager this position will lead and manage our hospitality teams across site. Working closely with your peers you will play a key role in driving the customer experience for our residents at Como. Responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with residents, families, staff and all relevant key stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement is an ongoing priority too
- Ensure resources are managed appropriately including kitchen equipment, food and laundry equipment
- Develop, promote, and deliver an outstanding dining experience for all residents
- Ensure clothing and linen laundry processes are efficient and effective for all residents
- Allocate and manage appropriate levels of resources (people and materials) to ensure the support services are delivered appropriately and meets customer expectations
- Ensure all areas of compliance (ie food safety, infection control, WHS, etc) are met through regular monitoring, auditing and improvement activities
About you:
You’re a hospitality professional with a passion for providing excellent service for your customers. You will also bring:
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of staff in a support services area
- Knowledge of food services including relevant legislation
- Understanding of the principles and tools of quality improvement
- Demonstrated budgeting skills with an ability to meet defined budget targets and outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, reallocate tasks and manage many site-based projects at one time
- A Chef qualification or Aged Care sector experience is also desirable
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations and national police clearance (1 x Covid vaccination and annual flu vaccination)
- Willingness to obtain NDIS Worker’s Screening Check
