How You Can Make a Difference
As Guideline Lead, you'll play a central role in developing, updating and disseminating our national cardiovascular clinical guidelines. From methodology decisions, rigorous evidence synthesis and GRADE assessments to managing public consultation and mentoring team members, your work will ensure our guidelines are robust, clinically relevant, and widely accessible.
You'll be working with a talented and mission-driven team of researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders to produce content that informs health professionals and policymakers; ultimately improving heart health outcomes and reducing inequities across the country.
You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and any of our capital city offices.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of clinical guidelines using systematic reviews and international best practice methods (e.g. GRADE, ADAPTE)
- Conduct risk of bias assessments and synthesise evidence across quantitative and qualitative data
- Develop and manage professional relationships expectations from external and internal guideline developlement teams
- Coordinate stakeholder feedback during public consultation phases
- Supervise and mentor the Clinical Evidence team
- Manage projects, including planning, milestones, and budgets
- Support internal training and capacity building in evidence-based practice
What You'll Bring
- A degree in a health-related field (postgrad preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in guideline development and systematic reviews and literature databases (e.g., Medline, Embase)
- Expertise in GRADE methodology
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Experience with GRADE-ADOLOPMENT or ADAPTE frameworks is a bonus
