We’re excited to welcome a Workforce Optimisation Lead to help shape this newly created role, which is designed to strengthen how we plan, resource, and deliver supports across our Supported Community Living services. This is a pivotal position for someone with strong workforce planning expertise and a solid understanding of NDIS frameworks. In this role, you’ll lead a team and work closely with managers and practice leaders to ensure our rostering is efficient, accurate, and tailored to meet the needs of the people we support, and aligns with available funding.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Lead and support the SCL rostering team to ensure workforce rosters are timely, efficient, and aligned to customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with Practice Leaders and Operations Managers to develop and maintain Service Agreements and Rosters of Care.
- Interpret NDIS plans, generate accurate service quotes, and engage with customers, families, and guardians to explain and finalise service agreements.
- Work cross-functionally with our Finance and Business Support teams to ensure rosters are financially sustainable and support optimal staff utilisation.
- Drive continuous improvement across rostering and service agreement processes, reducing reliance on agency staff and enhancing service continuity.
- Ensure our workforce strategies reflect person-centred, culturally responsive practices that uphold the voices and needs of our customers.
- Certificate III in Business Administration or a similar qualification (desirable).
- Experience in workforce rostering and optimisation, ideally within the NDIS or community services sector.
- Deep understanding of NDIS plans, Service Agreements, and the ability to translate these into actionable, sustainable staffing models.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor a team and collaborate across functions.
- Confidence in working with families and guardians to explain supports and negotiate service arrangements.
- Attention to detail, with strong planning, systems, and documentation skills.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and a passion for improving outcomes for people living with disability.
