Join our evolving and focused IT Service Desk team based at our head office in South Brisbane. Reporting to the IT Service Desk Team Leader, you will provide level one IT Service Desk support for all divisions of our organisation.

Who are we looking for? Our ideal new team member has experience in an IT Service Desk environment. You will bring a “tech savvy” skillset and an ability to communicate and problem solve in partnership with our employees who have varying technical capabilities.

At Icon, you’ll play a key part by:

  • Providing first contact and support for incoming incidents and service requests received via telephone, web portal, email and walk-up ensuring courteous, timely, and effective resolution for end-users
  • Using remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting and fulfilment
  • Performing hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware configuration, delivery of end user devices, or other fixes as determined
  • Escalating incidents and requests with accurate documentation to our level two support teams
  • Maintaining articles in the IT Service Desk Knowledgebase
  • Actively contributing in a team environment and identifying opportunities for continual improvement

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role, with knowledge of common end user devices, software and applications used within a corporate environment
  • You can show an ability to logically troubleshoot with a proactive attitude towards identifying issues and resolution
  • You’ll understand the importance of being organised, have a keen eye for detail and have excellent service and support skills
  • With your positive communication skills, you’ll be eager to build strong working relationships
