About The Opportunity

We are inviting a skilled and compassionate Counsellor to join our newly expanded Kurlana Padnipadninya program. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare providers, to walk alongside clients in their recovery journey — offering trauma-informed counselling and person-centred case management. You will be a trusted support, helping people regain their footing and rebuild their lives with dignity.

This a full time, permanent, position located in Adelaide.

Your Day-to-day Impact Will Include

  • Respond to referrals in a timely manner and conduct intake and assessments for new clients as required.
  • Develop and build strong working relationships and working protocols in line with leadership with external stakeholders.
  • Implement a flexible, proactive, trauma informed, and client-centred approach to support clients and ensure rights are upheld, interactions are respectful and free from discrimination, with cultural safety at the centre.
  • Provide counselling and undertake case management tasks to support allocated caseload of clients
  • Undertake all aspects of case management including developing individualised care plans with clients and supporting clients to access a range of services including health, housing, and other supports.

About You

You’re someone who listens deeply, responds with care, and believes in the power of connection and community.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in health or social Sciences
  • Minimum of 2 years case management experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Care and what it looks like in practice.
  • Knowledge and experience within the homelessness and mental health sector.
  • Experience supporting and mentoring other staff in a team environment.
  • A current SA driver’s license.
