About This Role
Our busy clinic in Armidale is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team. We are happy to accommodate a start date best suited to the successful candidate.
The role is a full time position working Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7:30am-6pm and optional overtime weekend work.
Role Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Previous medical reception experience is desirable but not essential
Ability to multitask across several computer systems
Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced environment

- Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
- Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
- Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
- Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
- Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
Previous medical reception experience is desirable but not essential
