Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll Officer, on a permanent basis, to ensure the precision and professionalism of their payroll services across Australia and New Zealand.

About The Role
- Autonomously manage end-to-end payroll functions for approximately 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for weekly and monthly cycles.
- Accurately interpret Industrial Awards/Agreements and relevant legislation.
- Skillfully process all end-of-pay and end-of-month requirements, including general ledger reporting, reconciliations, payroll tax submission, and superannuation clearing house management.
- Confidently manage Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Time & Attendance (Kronos) systems, providing essential support to managers and employees.
- Ensure compliance with Australia and New Zealand legislative and statutory obligations through precise reporting and documentation.
- Warmly resolve payroll-related queries from across the organisation.
- Support the Financial Controller with payroll-related projects and local statutory reporting.
- Be IT savvy and adaptable to system changes; Preceda and Kronos are currently used.
- At least five years’ experience in a similar Senior Payroll Officer role within a multi-faceted business, adept at handling high-volume payroll tasks.
- Demonstrated excellent understanding of ATO legislation, industrial relations, Award interpretation, and payroll system architectural design.
- Proven experience with payroll systems like Preceda and Kronos is highly desirable, coupled with an aptitude for learning new systems swiftly.
- Exceptional computer skills, particularly with MS Office Suite and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, coupled with careful attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A tertiary qualification in accounting or finance will be highly regarded.
- Possess full working rights in Australia.
