- Fully embedded permanent role
Key Responsibilities
- Work on critical mining projects
- First responder to breakdown events
- Fleet maintenance
- Fault diagnostics
- Diverse range of engine repairs, both major and minor
- Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment
- Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr. Etc
- The face of Cummins at Customer Sites.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
- Previous field service experience servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)[LJ4] Cummins Experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a great team environment
- A genuine commitment to workplace safety
- A valid driver’s license
- Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
- Locally valid driving permit
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Basic level field service work experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
- High Voltage/Low Voltage experience (optional)
- Customer service experience
