North and West Remote Health (NWRH) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Dietitian to join our Townsville-based team on a full-time basis. We welcome applicants at all stages of their career, from recent graduates to experienced professionals.


As part of a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative team, you’ll provide evidence-based dietetic services that prioritise long-term outcomes and client wellbeing—without the funding limitations often seen in private practice. This is an opportunity to build meaningful connections and deliver holistic care across a broad range of clinical presentations in rural and remote settings.

  • Attractive starting salary from $76,197 + super, commensurate with experience

  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging options to increase your take-home pay

What You’ll Be Doing:


Clinical Services



  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred dietetic care across the lifespan

  • Manage a diverse caseload including chronic disease, IBS/IBD, food intolerances, paediatrics, neurodiversity, and malnutrition

  • Utilise a variety of funding streams including NDIS

  • Engage in health promotion initiatives and community education


Quality Improvement



  • Contribute to service development and innovation

  • Identify gaps and suggest improvements to strengthen service delivery


Teamwork & Stakeholder Engagement



  • Work closely with GPs, community organisations, and allied health professionals

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support integrated, holistic care


 


About You:



  • Degree-qualified and registered Dietitian (or eligible for registration)

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to care

  • Willingness to travel to remote communities via road or small aircraft

  • Current driver's licence (manual preferred)

  • Committed to delivering culturally safe and inclusive services

  • You will be required to travel by road and/or in small planes to communities distant from your catchment area on a regular basis, so must be comfortable with this aspect of the role.

  • A 'C' Class Driver's License (Manual preferred) is also an essential requirement
