Geotab is seeking a Regional Events Manager who will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and post-event analysis of a variety of internal and external marketing events across the Asia-Pacific region. This role will develop and manage a regional events calendar, ensuring alignment with marketing objections and regional business priorities. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven event professional with a strong understanding of the regional event best practices, excellent communication and project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful events. What You'll Do:

As a Regional Events Manager your key area of responsibility will be to develop and implement a comprehensive regional events strategy, aligning with regional sales and marketing goals, manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, budget management, logistics, coordination of booth assets and messaging, event activations, speaker opportunities, sponsorship packages, and on-site support, and coordinate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, product, leadership) to ensure event alignment. You will also collaborate with the broader marketing team to develop and execute pre-event, on-site, and post-event marketing and communication plans to maximize attendance and engagement.

To be successful in this role you will be able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional events strategy, aligning with regional sales and marketing goals.
  • Identify key event opportunities, including industry conferences, trade shows, partner events, customer events, webinars, and internal events to support lead generation, brand awareness, and customer and partner engagement.
  • Establish regional event objectives, budgets, and timelines and manage the regional events budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximum ROI from event investments.
  • Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, budget management, logistics, coordination of booth assets and messaging, event activations, speaker opportunities, sponsorship packages, and on-site support.
  • Create and manage event specific content creation, communications, and materials for pre-event, execution, and post-event stages; including outbound emails, social media campaigns, videos, presentations, collateral, signage, etc.
  • Oversee and coordinate the creation of event-related materials, including invitations, signage, in-booth demos, booth drivers, social media promotion, collateral, and presentations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, product, leadership) to ensure event alignment.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners in the region.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to develop and execute pre-event, on-site, and post-event marketing and communication plans to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all event touch points.
  • Track and analyze key event metrics (e.g. attendance, lead generation, engagement, ROI) and prepare post-event reports summarizing results, key learnings, and recommendations for future events.
  • Utilize the company’s standardized lead generation process to upload all leads generated from events and complete the post-event process. Compile post event reports/reconciliations, participant/stakeholder evaluations and evaluation summaries.
  • Communicate event plans, progress, and results effectively to internal stakeholders.

What You'll Bring To The Role:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Marketing or Event Management, or equivalent.
  • 5 - 8 years of previous Event Management experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related fields may be substituted.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of marketing events.
  • Strong understanding of the regional business landscape and cultural nuances related to events.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in one or more regional languages is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
