About the opportunity
This permanent part-time position, provides quality, safe, person-centred physiotherapy clinical care to the allocated caseload as part of our acute team and servicing the WMH Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit, ensuring a holistic and multidisciplinary team approach.
- Grade 2 part-time (0.6EFT) permanent role (including participation in weekend roster and Public holidays as required)
- Provides quality, evidence based, person-centred, physiotherapy clinical care working as part of the acute team and servicing ED and the EDSSU (secondary contact) and acute wards as needed, and on a rotating roster including regular weekend and public holiday shifts
- Ensures a holistic multidisciplinary approach to patients and their carers
- Integral to providing responsive, flexible physiotherapy care to improve timely and effective care, patient flow and discharge and subsequently improve patient experience.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Recognised Degree in Physiotherapy, full current and unlimited AHPRA physiotherapy registration and current Victorian (or equivalent) Driver's License
- Broad and relevant clinical physiotherapy skills and experience in an acute hospital setting. Experience in ED and EDSSU setting highly desirable
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt, problem solve and prioritise completing tasks in a timely manner within a complex fast paced work setting
- Willingness to assist with weekend and public holiday rosters
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
