Description
Amazon is looking for a customer-obsessed, highly analytical operational leader to join as Program Manager – Network Capacity in Australia. Your primary role will own key capacity planning and management processes, goals and metrics and you will work closely with S&OP to ensure operational plans align to meet those goals.
You will work across many cross functional teams to drive alignment on storage, processing, sortation and delivery network capacity to achieve the desired speed and customer experience through levers including gastank, inventory placement, external fulfillment, outbound optimization and FC and transportation capacity.
You will own capacity goals, planning and delivering forecasts and risk assessments, and reporting results to Senior Leadership that are critical inputs to the financial performance, growth, long-term plan, and scalability of the Australia business. This role can be based in our Sydney or Melbourne office, is highly-visible, and works closely with peers from around the world.

Key job responsibilities
- Identify and bridge any capacity gaps in inventory, processing, sortation, linehaul or last mile delivery to meet network speed and CX goals and work with Program Managers to ensure action plans are executed to close them.
- Drives the completion of quarterly Strategic S&OP forecast materials for leadership review
- Local ownership of AU network gastank, inventory health and removals programs
- Manages projects or programs on an ongoing basis that impact the broader business, potentially beyond capacity
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
