Markets is ASX’s largest line of business by revenue. It encompasses cash and derivatives markets trading and central clearing of listed and OTC products. Business Management and Delivery is one of eight functional units within ASX’s Markets Line of Business.

Other units cover Business, Technology and Operations functions. The ASX24 re-platforming and Trading Network Replacement teams are cross-functional team with mix of internal and vendor resources executing the multi-year ASX Trading Strategy roadmap.

You are a practitioner/team member of the Project Management Capability Community of Practice (CoP).

Your Responsibilities

  • Call on your extensive SCRUM master experience to lead day-to-day delivery of data product initiatives of varying size and complexity, while understanding business/technical inter-dependencies and involving both in-house and vendor development in an increasingly agile environment.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across both Business and Technology.
  • Mentor the team on best fit Agile practices. Continuously improve team productivity and facilitate completion of work.
  • Use your familiarity with both aged and new technology standards and apply your passion for automation to lead gains in both delivery efficiency and velocity.
  • Drive strong engagement with stakeholders while developing and supporting high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure alignment with governance and control structures to ensure delivery outcomes meet expectations, through execution of solid planning, budget, RAID, and resource management practices.
  • Interface with governance forums, vendors, Delivery and Project Managers, and other internal stakeholders with executive level standards of language.
  • Being an active member of the PM Community of Practice (CoP).

Must Have

Your experience and qualifications

  • Delivered both smaller frequent changes from a varied backlog of work to larger agile projects when needed, meeting pre-defined success criteria and objectives.
  • Successfully delivered changes / projects that have interdependencies across other projects/delivery teams/divisions as part of an overarching change roadmap, while driving solutions and accountability.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and effective problem-solving skills through self-awareness, emotional intelligence and a willingness to continuously improve both yourself and your teams.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills that show you are able to collaborate and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both individuals and executive level steering groups.
  • Quick to establish trust and rapport, ability to motivate others through your enthusiasm and sense of urgency and achieve a 'one team' culture that embeds accountability.

Nice to have

  • Tertiary education or other relevant industry certification.
  • Be comfortable working within a matrix structure.
  • Worked on Agile, Lean and Waterfall projects.
  • Ideally knowledge of capital markets and exchange operations.
  • Experience using Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Agile, and Confluence).
  • Experience using PPM tool i.e., ServiceNow
