The role sits within the Marketing, Campaigns and Events team with a primary focus on supporting the work of the Be Connected program, and the Safer Communities team within the Education, Prevention and Communities Branch:
This vacancy is available on a non-ongoing basis. Non-ongoing roles may be offered for an initial period of up to 12 months with the possibility of extension or becoming ongoing. Suitable candidates may be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and the pool may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing roles. Applicants may have their application and assessment results shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies looking to fill similar roles.

- The Be Connected program aims to build the confidence and digital literacy of older Australians and offers information, resources and online courses. This program sits within the Safer Communities team’s portfolio.
- The Safer Communities team delivers a range of programs to support adults most at risk of online harm, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, adults from the LGBTIQ+ community, culturally diverse audiences, adults with cognitive disability and older Australians. The team also works on programs to reach these at-risk audiences through upskilling organisations and those on the frontline, such as sports administrators and athletes.
