What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with project teams to support design development, documentation, and delivery.
- Contribute creative ideas to the generation and refinement of design concepts.
- Engage in technical tasks, 3D modelling, documentation, research, and presentation preparation.
- Develop knowledge of architectural processes, design tools, and project workflows.
- Communicate clearly and professionally within the team and with external consultants.
- Actively participate in BVN’s studio culture and learning initiatives.
What You’ll Learn and Develop
Design & Technical Skills
- Explore architectural concepts that align with project goals and client needs.
- Gain hands-on experience with BIM, CAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, and other design tools.
- Work closely with architects and consultants to integrate structure and services into designs.
- Build your own competency matrix to track and guide your development.
Project & Practice Understanding
- Understand project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Participate in project management fundamentals for small-scale projects.
- Engage with real-world documentation and delivery processes.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work as part of diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Present your ideas with clarity through verbal, visual, and written communication.
Growth Mindset & Professional Development
- Be open to feedback and learning new tools, processes, and approaches.
- Explore pathways to architectural registration, including participation in BVN’s Registration Study Group.
- Take initiative in seeking out mentoring, support, and new learning opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
- Final-year Architectural Student or recently graduated with a Master of Architecture (or equivalent).
- A positive, curious, and open-minded attitude.
- Interest or skills in model making and/or digital fabrication are a plus.
- Proficiency in design and documentation software (Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, etc.) or willingness to learn.
- A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
