About the opportunity
The Community Plus Team is a component of Mercy Mental Health located at Saltwater clinic and provides recovery orientated treatment, and rehabilitation services to people with a serious psychiatric illness and complex psychosocial support needs. The Recovery Clinician provides consumer recovery focused care based on evidence-based practice as well as a commitment to the delivery of services that are responsive to the needs of the community. This role works within a multidisciplinary team and supports and participates in the operation of the Mercy Mental Health (MMH) program. The Recovery Clinician utilizes their clinical skills by undertaking a clinical caseload and in doing so ensures standards are met, evidence-based practice is implemented and that the service is responsive to the needs of the community.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated clinical competency in health and risk assessments
- Ability to prioritise workload and coordinate clinical care with other service providers.
- Ability to provide quality mental health and discipline specific, client centred assessment and treatment in the context of a holistic framework and in a multi-disciplinary team setting
- Ability to facilitate the appropriate clinical care coordination of people with a mental illness within the team
- Ability to work co-operatively and effectively with other internal and external programs/organisations
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
