Electrical Superintendent

Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our Project Execution team. This role will operate on a rotational roster for mineral processing projects situated within the APAC Africa region.
About the role
- Oversee and manage the construction process, coordinating workers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage Electrical scope within execution of minerals processing projects across both green and brownfield environments.
- Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to the site project team.
- Manages scope, cost, schedule for the defined area of responsibility, and ensures change management is applied.
- Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of subcontractors, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
- Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
- Applies understanding of procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support.
- Ensure project design deliverables and design quantities are tracked and analyzed.
- Tracks cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends.
- Good understanding of Project Control Reports and identified problem areas. Develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
- Manages customer representatives (established relationship) and other significant stakeholders. Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress and identifies potential risks or new risks as the project progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or relevant discipline.
- Extensive experience, including relevant supervisory roles within EPCM projects within mining, construction or relevant industries
- Proven construction experience within brownfield environments managing shutdown/tie in scopes
- Proven experience with management of incoming power supply, grid connection, HV distribution networks & power solutions
- Experience in management of significant value purchase orders and contracts from project commencement to completion
- Technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline and proven experience in package management
- Demonstrates full commitment to excellent health and safety outcomes.
