To spearhead this growth, QANTM has created a new 12 month fixed term contract role as Project Manager based in Melbourne, reporting to the Chief Change Officer.
About the role
As a Project Manager in our Change team, you will lead the delivery of a range of business and technology initiatives that will drive operational excellence and enhance client service delivery. This role requires disciplined management of scope, timelines, budget, and resources across projects, together with effective stakeholder engagement, including senior leaders (Execs and Principals), business stakeholders, internal IT teams and external partners.
Our project portfolio includes large, complex technical projects, as well as mid-size business-process change projects and small proof-of-concept projects. You will be highly flexible, with a willingness to adapt to the changing project needs as business priorities evolve. Indicative projects may be CRM and Automation/Work Management Platform implementation. You will lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering an energised, collaborative and high-performing environment. You will also play a key part in uplifting Agile delivery capability across the firm, embedding Agile principles, and fostering a culture of iterative delivery, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Key areas of responsibility will include
Project Management
Lead multiple strategic initiatives, applying project management and technical expertise across Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies. Drive project delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle, meeting KPIs including time, budget, scope, quality, risk, and benefits.
Agile Coaching
Coach cross-functional teams and stakeholders in Agile mindset, ceremonies, and tools.
Lead Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) and ensure continuous flow of value.
Act as a servant leader, removing blockers and enabling team autonomy.
Other key areas of responsibilities also include stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, reporting and communication, financial management, vendor management, business case support and change enablement.
About you
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum 7+ years of Project Management experience, with at least 3 years in mid/senior-level roles.
- Proven extensive experience overseeing large-scale, complex system implementation projects, working closely with technical and business teams.
- In-depth knowledge and application of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ideally with certification: (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe).
- High proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Demonstrated leadership capability and exceptional team management skills.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving acumen, committed to data-driven decisions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Extensive experience in vendor management, including negotiation, management of SLAs and meticulous contract oversight.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Commitment to improving our project management and agile capability, including mentoring and coaching team members, and being present for their support.
